Looks amazing. If you were to just remove the small ship and close the hatch on the star destroyer, it would be like "No Escape, even for a planet". You'd know that there is a big invasion armada right behind it.

I like this version a little better. Makes the Star Destroyer seem more big, looming, and menacing.

Unlike the previous Deviation, this one feels more like Star Wars.

I wonder why?  Mulling it over, I think its the claustrophobic feeling of the Rebel cruiser being visually 'squished' between the planet horizon and Star Destroyer (maybe its also the emphasis of the round and triangle shapes vs. the detailed, but small, Rebel ship?

I found the composition of the previous one a bit more compelling, or mysterious, as it was the planet that seemed to be the ultimate destination (or focus of the picture) - and the planet itself was cast in shadow.

Your pictures have highlighted the mastery of visual design that George Lucas and Stanley Kubrick are at visual design to convey their individual stories.  Thank you for your exploration of the shot composition.

That's funny, the damage doesn't look as bad from out here.
