Yaaay!!!! January has finished. For some reason January always seems to last twice as long as other months, I guess it's a combination of bad weather, dark nights and post Christmas blues.
On the plus side I am beginning to see the light at the end of my creative slump tunnel, my head is full of ideas and images, the challenge is to get them out and onto the screen :) I'm looking forward to trying new things and new techniques. I'm even thinking of taking a Drawing class as I really don't have any traditional art skills, it is the pointy end you use on a pencil isn't it ? ;)

In the meantime a selection of work that may have passed you by.

Glad to hear that you feel an end to the slump. I'm sharing that feeling, though results are slow coming.

Good luck with the drawing class! Should be fun :)

Be interested to know how you get on with art class, I am the same as you and wondered if I should try and do some traditional arty stuff! The Hydrogen Sonata - how goes that? Not read it yet. I am half way through 'Matter' as this is the only other Culture novel I have not read - but I am finsing it toughish going for some reason! Big Culture I have to say, planning of doing a Culture ship at some point, or even a Mind, whatever they look like!

I end up using the soft rubbery flat end of the pencil most. ;)

Looking forward to your work this year, Graham.

New subjects has invigorated me, industrial art and nautical scences that relate to historical events.

Cheers, Mike
