Finally after nearly 3 months waiting I have a new PC. Now the fun begins, re-installing everything and getting it just so.

Bereft

Well after over 8 years of good and faithful service my PC has died :(

I suspect an issue with the motherboard as the thing refuses to power on, either way it's not pining, it's passed on! This PC is no more! it has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! It's a stiff! Bereft of life :) So for the time being I have to hang up my rendering spurs, so no more new images for a while. new system is on order but delayed due to a graphic card shortage.

No Commissions

I do this as a hobby to relax, be a little creative and most importantly have fun.
I work full time in a pretty mundane job so relish the escape putting together an image can provide.
My workflow is pretty haphazard and I rarely work to any sort of plan, prefering an almost organic approach to creating an image.
As a result I don't do commissions.

Having said that if there is an existing image of mine you wish to use please ask and I am sure we can come to some sort of arrangement.

Begin blatant trumpet blowing :)

I was recently interviewed by the ever excellent Digital Art Live magazine.  You can read it here

After a nearly a year of being unemployed, I've managed to land a job :)   It's not in IT and it's not in Banking but it is local (20 min walk from home) it is a lot less stressful and more importantly makes me feel useful again. All being well I start in mid May.
I've worked since I was 17 and this period of unemployment hit me hard. But looking back over my career I can't help but feel that I defined myself more by "What I did for a living"  than the  more important  standards such as being a Father and Husband. So I'm definitely taking this as a chance for a fresh start.

On the art front, I've started poking about with creating my own 3d models, simple things at the moment but hopefully building the skills I need.

Anyhoo as is the norm, here are some superlative images from artists way more talented than me......
