A very simple one of Bazze's nice P40 model.

some post processing in PS

I'm not sure if it is the perspective, the the wingtip on the nearest looks clipped in stead of rounded. Maybe I need to get my eyes checked.
Great image, by the way. I always though desert camo Warhawks looked the best.

Superb surface work yet again.

Great aircraft render once again, you've developed a soft weathered sheen on your old warbirds I really like. Did other P-40 squadrons have the shark face on the cowl? For some reason I thought that was a Flying Tigers thing only.

Thanks, the texture came with the model from www.colacola.se, but I had to tweak the surfaces to get the look I was after.
I think there were some RAF units with the Shark mouth painting, but this appears to be a P-40 from the 79th Fighter Group which I can't find a Sharks mouth reference for. Call it artistic license, 'cause Sharks Mouth nose art is cool :)

Sounds like good artistic license to me! Thanks for the link, pretty cool guy offering his superb meshes to use like that.

Great stuff. Beautiful color and excellent scene integration. The P-40 sure wasn't the best fighter of the war, but is certainly is a sexy craft.

Ah yes... the P40, easily my favorite fighter of ww2. The P51 might have been the best fighter the USAAF fielded during the war but this beauty more than held it's own against enemy aircraft thanks to pilots who knew the characteristics of their craft and fought to their strengths. Plus it was P40's that took to the sky's of Pearl Harbor in defense of their nation and beat back the Japanese on December 7... hero's each and every one of them.
