Had me firing up Lightwave.

A simple scene, played about with resurfacing some of the model. Some post work in Photoshop.
Definitely going for a more painted/illustrated feel.

Very cool CAD work. The rendering, lighting, and details look great, as does the war-worn painted skin. The proportions and earth backdrop make this believable.

You will find it VERY easy to blame Arcass for just about everything.

At least, I do.

Only one negative comment, it looks like they have the same nose art. I would drop a notably different bit of nose art on the one in back. No need to reskin as you could do it pretty quickly in photoshop.

Other than that, great image.

I'll bear that in mind the next time I'm in trouble with the wife.

Good catch on the nose art, I was being lazy and hoped the distance would effectively blur out the image. No biggy I've photoshopped a new one in.
