I'm suffering a huge art block at the moment, so to try and shift it thought I'd try something new. I've never tried creating a Planet so gave it a go.

Slartibartfast I'm not, so it's not the best planet in the world but it's free to use, no credit necessary but I would get a kick out of seeing it being used :)

Yep it's all photoshop. Normally I'd wrap a texture around a sphere and render it out in Lightwave, but wanted to do something different.

Gotcha. I had a plugin on GIMP that allowed me to make some pretty nice planets like in this one [link] , although the resolution got all screwed up :/. This looks pretty good for a first shot though, good job ^^.
