Really nice! Are the clouds also rendered? :-)

Nope they are a photo - I wish I could render such realistic clouds though :)

Yeah, but rendering clouds takes gigantic amount of CPU time. You really gotta have both patience and a fast machine for that. Unfortunately, I lack both of them. :-)

Wonderful work as always. The blade blur - done in 3D or photoshop?

Thanks. The blade blur was done in 3D. Simply set up a key frame with the blades rotated a little and then added motion blur to the camera setting.

This was rendered in LightWave, my prop/rotor blur method is probably the the wrong way to do it LOL I'm by no means an expert, but it works for my stills.

1) Assuming you are working in Frame 0 move the slider to frame 1

2) Select the prop object and rotate/spin the prop a little to the right

3) Now click CREATE KEY
This will bring up the motion key panel
Ensuring that you still have the Prop object selected choose "For current item and Descendent" from the Key panel drop down box. Again on the MOTION KEY panel uncheck all the position and scale axis. This tells Lightwave that the only motion it's interested in this frame is the rotation of the prop and prop descendants

4) Move back to frame 0

5)Open the CAMERA PROPERTIES and select the MOTION EFFECTS
Set Motion blur to photoreal and I would drop the BLUR LENGTH down a little from 50% and hit F9

You'll probably have to play with the Shutter efficiency, Blur percentage etc to get a nice looking blur.

If you're NOT going for photorealism on this....I'd love to see what you'd do if you were...this is fantastic.

Thanks, I honestly think it looks more painted than photoreal, perhaps it's the almost surreal landscape colours. Still I'm more than happy with it, glad you like it to.
