Firstly I rendered it with a softer render method. Then I added a little light fog in post process and boosted the saturation. A dab of dodge and burn to touch up the highlights and shadow and it was done.
Hm. OK. I suspect as "the artist" we all see our stylistic choices and changes with greater clarity than our audience, but thanks for the insight. I so rarely mention it, but I should do so now while it's in my brain: you really do have exceptional compositional skills, as well as all the other talents you bring to the 3D art table. It can be easy to take that for granted with artists who consistently nail it... like you. But it's a key skill and you've got it down.
I'm not sure if I'm your biggest fan... but I'd like to think so!
