Star Trek Behemoth
The crew find a massive,mysterious Alien artifact in deep space. It's configuration, shape and mass constantly changing; a writhing mass of exotic metals.
After much discussion the science team launch a probe.

Rendered in Lightwave 11 and post processed in CS3.

I wanted to go for a minimilistic/simple look strong light and shadows.
Apologies in advance as I have another render of the scene on the go

When people do stuff like this to one of the greatest science fiction ideas ever made - I weep; weep that the cretins who ran it had no imagination or respect for the subject matter.

I love this - the shadow of the Enterprise and the Probe are magnificent!!

The alien artefact is so alien it works.

Excellent - and trust me when I say I have a lump in my throat.

It struck me as I watched the trailer, that Star Trek has strayed far from the original five year mission to explore strange new worlds and seek out new civilisations.
This image is far from perfect, but hopefully there is some sense of awe and wonder
